Our Year 5 and 6 football team finished off a fantastic season by being crowned Gateshead Primary School Champions. Parkhead beat Lobley Hill 4 - 3 in the Gateshead Final with goals from Mark Dodds, Pete Smith and two from George Longstaff. This means that Parkhead are now officially the best football team in Gateshead!
The team won the Gateshead East League with a 100% record, winning every game. They then faced the Gateshead West League winners, Lobley Hill, at Lobley Hill Primary School. In a fiercely contested final Parkhead came out on top. Mr Mordue would like to say a huge well done to all players who represented the school this year for their commitment and sportsmanship throughout the season - a great effort!
