On Friday 9th July, Year 6 went to Hookergate School to take part in a carnival! Year 6 children from other schools in our cluster also took part in the event. Each school had to pick a country for their theme and had to organise some stalls. We picked Brazil (before they got knocked out of the World Cup!) and had lots of fun getting ready for the day. We made signs, flags, Brazilian carnival masks, samba instruments and had our faces painted in yellow, green and blue as well as wearing Brazilian colours to travel to Hookergate. When we got there we set up our stalls (Brazilian football skills and Brazilian face painting) and processed in front of the other schools, We looked great in our Brazilian colours! We then enjoyed the afternoon by visiting the other stalls as well as running our own stalls. We finished the day with an ice cream! Well done Year 6!
