Topic Home Learning

Following the success of the topic home learning grids we have decided to continue them. Each half term you will be given a choice of challenges. You can choose which challenges you would like to do, as long as they total ten points by the end of the half term. The points are on the sheet and are allocated based on the time and effort it takes to complete the task.

There are some rules though!

1. Your learning must be completed in pencil (Y1 – Y4) blue biro (Y5 and Y6), if it is a writing task. Drawings must be done in a normal pencil. You may borrow these items from school if you don’t have any at home.

2. It must be neat – remember our non negotiables!

3. You must remember all of your basic skills such as spelling and punctuation.

4. Although you are welcome to use the computer to complete any of the tasks, you can’t copy and paste straight from the internet or a book. Everything must be your own words.

5. Unfortunately, if the learning is not as good as you would produce in school we will not be able to give you the full number of points.

Parents can see what is expected in each year group by clicking on the relevant useful guide below:

We understand that sometimes you might not be able to do your home learning (for example, if you do not have the internet and need it for research). To help you we run a home learning club every Thursday after school where you can use the internet or get support with a challenging task.
