As there are a lot of gas works in the local area at the moment the companies came into school and ran an assembly for children to learn about gas safety.

On Wednesday 3rd March children in Year 5 celebrated World Maths Day by taking part in an online, mental mathematics competition. The children showed great enthusiasm for the event, many of them playing at home as well as at school. Every class in school took part and looked at the flags, tasted food from the country, listened to music, learned about the culture and painted pictures.

They played lots of instruments, including the Indonesian gamelan. Sang songs, joined in with other bands, and had talks. Everyone enjoyed playing the brass instruments the most!

Parkhead's netball team attended Hookergate Cluster Year 6 Netball Tournament last Monday 1st February which they won!
