Gateshead travel survey

October 17, 2019

Good morning,

You may recall that our school has been asked previously to complete a Hands Up Survey to record pupil travel habits by the Development team for Transport and Public Protection at Gateshead Council.

They are also keen to hear from parents and carers about how they travel and what barriers they face when choosing how to travel to school. They have set up a survey and ask that we share this by email and text to parents. They have 3x £20 shopping vouchers available in a random prize draw for parents and carers who complete the survey. The surveys close on Friday 25 October 2019. Good luck!

CPR training

Good morning

Gateshead housing just wanted to let you know of a training course they have taking place next week in Conifer Close, and wondered if parents and people in and around the area would be interested in attending as they still have a few places available.

The course is through the British Heart Foundation, delivered by employees who are trained to deliver it.

The course is taking place on Wednesday 23 October, 1pm-3pm in Conifer Close Communal Lounge.

Please see attached link to the full programme and to book.

Halloween Disco

We get off to a spooky start next term with the Halloween disco on Wednesday 30th October!

KS1 disco will be held during school time in the afternoon. Please can children bring a £1 into school on the day or donate on lunchshop. They will get a goody bag at the disco with a drink, crisps and sweets. Pupils need to bring any costume, or change of clothes, into school (to be hung on their coat peg during the day).

KS2 disco is between 3.30pm and 4.30pm. Tickets are priced at £1 and will include a packet of crisps. Pupils need to bring any costume, or change of clothes, into school (to be hung on their coat peg during the day). Tickets will be on sale from tomorrow. Pupils may wish to bring spending money to purchase sweets, drinks, crisps and snacks. Please provide this in a named purse or envelope. Any money will be collected in and kept in a safe place until the disco commences. Any child not participating in the disco should be collected at home time in the usual way. Parents are requested to wait on the KS2 yard, when at the end of the disco the children will be brought onto the yard by their class teacher. Pupils will not be allowed to walk home unaccompanied.

We would be grateful if anyone can volunteer help to decorate the hall before the disco from around 12pm and prepare goody bags and help with food and selling at the KS2 disco at 3.30pm.

Thank you for your support.
