Spring Term
Elm have been super busy in their first term with their new teacher! The class have thoroughly enjoyed their new learning. From experimenting with different materials in
Science to going back in time to find out why castles were built in History. On top of this they have totally mastered their 2's , 5's and 10's !
Science
This term the children have explored the properties of different materials, carrying out experiments on transparency, absorbency and much more. As well as this we have began to spot the signs of spring and celebrate them by planting our very own class plant!
History
Elm have loved their Battle of Hastings topic. From Harold Godwinson and William the Conqueror to all the parts of a motte and bailey castle. The class have become true historians all leading up to our exciting trip to explore a real castle!

Elm have had so much fun desiging their monster puppets and exploring different attaching techniques to find what will work best for them! Following their plans, they have created some amazing monsters.
