Willow - Click here to see what we have been learning
Welcome to our Willow Class page. Here you can find out about all of the exciting things we have been doing and learning about in school.
This half term we have had lots of fun in our Forest School sessions. We developed our use of tools and discussed fire safety, creating sparks with a flint and steel, before cooking s'mores on the fire, They were delicious! We also enjoyed playing lots of games to develop our teamwork skills.
In PE, Mrs Thompson has been helping us to explore different ways to balance and travel in gymnastics, practising these skills both on the mats and on a range of apparatus at different heights.
In Geography, we have been developing our field work skills through exploring our local area. We created aerial maps of the school before using Google Earth to locate our school and familiar places nearby. We enjoyed going on a walk in the local area to identify house types and building use.
In DT, we have been developing our understanding of structures to create a windmill fit for a mouse. Following design criteria, we ensured the windmills were stable and had moving parts and were very proud of our finished structures.
