Fri 18 Feb 2022 Miss Bulman

A huge thank you to our parent fundraising group SPLAT who absolutely smashed their first fundraising events this week!

It was fantastic to see such amazing team work with every coming together and supporting. Thank you to everyone to bought raffle tickets, sought prizes for the raffle, baked cakes and sold cakes – each and every act, however large or small, makes a huge difference.

The Valentines Raffle raised £594 and the Valentines Cake Sale raised £200.22. This gives us a grand total of £794.22.

  • Community Room

Fri 18 Feb 2022 Miss Bulman

We are delighted to have received £6,000 in funding from Household Support Fund.

Plans are in place to convert one of the rooms in our Nursery building in to a community room. An external door will be fitted to allow access, and the room will be fitted out with railings and shelves.

We will create a re-use, reduce, recycle ethos where parents can access a warm, comfortable environment and take what they need, when they need it from donations that have been made. This could be anything from school uniform, sports kit/equipment, food etc.

We hope to open the community room after Easter, and are in the process of trying to come up with a name for it – if you have any suggestions, please let us know!

We are confident that this will be a great addition to support our local community and send thanks to the Household Support Fund for their donation.

  • Early Years Uniform

Fri 04 Feb 2022 Miss Bulman

As an Early Years team, we have made the decision to make an important change to our Early Years School Uniform as from September 2022.  We are letting you know now so that there can be a gradual change over in the Spring and Summer terms if for instance your child has outgrown their current uniform items or school shoes.

Instead of the full school uniform which has always been the case from Nursery through to Year 6, we are inviting children in Nursery and Reception to come to school each and every day in the school PE kit.  This consists of red t-shirt, red hoodie, black jogging bottoms and trainers.

There are many reasons surrounding our decision but the main reason is practicality and flexibility for the staff and children.  The more casual clothing will support with toilet training and it will support and increase opportunities for play in both the indoor and outdoor environments.

As children move up the school in to Year 1, they would then be expected to wear full school uniform.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us, but we hope that it will be a positive change and bring with it many benefits for staff and children.
