  • Red Nose Day

Fri 11 Mar 2022 Miss Bulman

Red Nose Day is taking place on Friday 18 March 2022.  As always, all contributions raised for Red Nose Day help people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination.   This year, Comic Relief will also be funding organisations that are supporting people right now in Ukraine, and those attempting to cross the border.

With this in mind, children are welcome to come to school on Friday 18 March dressed as either a super hero, or in blue and yellow clothing to represent our support and solidarity for Ukraine.

Every child in school will receive a red nose on the morning of Friday 18 March so that everyone is the same. With this in mind, we would be grateful of a contribution towards Comic Relief who are directly supporting the Ukrainian appeal, in line with what you can afford.   Please note that red noses are retailing at £1.50 each.  Together we have the power to change lives.

Fri 04 Mar 2022 Miss Bulman

    πŸŒ»πŸ’™πŸ’›We Stand with UkraineπŸŒ»πŸ’™πŸ’›

I’m sure, like us, you have been shocked, moved and deeply saddened the news reports coming from Ukraine and neighbouring countries as people move to find a place of safety.

Morrison’s, Blaydon are our local collection point and have made the following appeal for items of humanitarian aid to be sent to the Ukraine:

‘Sleeping bags, pillows, baskets, duvets, children's clothes, (new) underwear for women and children, baby bottles, dummies, baby food in Jars, formula, nappies, baby wipes and creams, toiletries and hygiene products, and if we can colouring books and crayons - anything like this for children as they have nothing to play with. Also first AID items ie. bandages, antiseptic creams’

Morrison’s are collecting items until 12 March, so if any of our families feel able to contribute you are welcome to drop them off at Morrisons directly, or drop them in at school.  Anything that is brought in to school next week will be taken down to Morrisons by staff and parent volunteers on Friday afternoon next week.
