KS2 Hydrogen Homes Visit
Fri 17 Feb 2023KS2 School Council and Science Ambassadors were invited along to Hydrogen Home this morning as part of Hydrogen Week. Did you know that Hydrogen Home are the first homes that have been built and open to the public that run on 100% hydrogen? They’re built in partnership with Northern Gas Networks and are right on our doorstep in Winlaton!
The children who visited have had a fantastic morning and have learnt lots about different gases, safety signs, the difference between renewable and fossil fuels and why renewables are so much better for our planet. Thank you to Alex for showing us around and sharing some very important messages. #hydrogenweek

Internet Safety Day
Fri 10 Feb 2023It was Safer Internet Day on Tuesday this week. In all classes, the children learnt more about how to keep themselves safe online and what to do if an issue arises. The theme for the week was ‘Want to talk about it?’ Making space for conversations about life online. We completed activities to encourage the children to think and talk about what they love and what they want to change about the world online. Throughout the year, we will continue to focus on helping the children in our school use technology safely and respectfully and to know where to seek help and support when they have concerns about content or contact online.
