  • Anti-Bullying Week

Fri 18 Nov 2022 Mrs Lane

    Anti-Bullying Week

This week in school, we have taken part in Anti-bullying week. We began the week by wearing odd socks to celebrate diversity and individuality.

The children took part in a variety of activities exploring what bullying is and how we can ‘reach out’ to others and collectively stop bullying.

On Wednesday, we welcomed parents and carers into school to share tips on how to keep children safe online and our progress towards achieving The Rainbow Flag Award. This was an opportunity for us to also share some fabulous online safety and LGBT+ support and information websites. These can be found in the Anti-bullying section of our school website. It was lovely for our Anti-bullying ambassadors to be able to introduce themselves and explain how they are getting involved in future projects too.

  • Children in Need Day

Fri 18 Nov 2022 Mrs Lane

    Children in Need Day

Today is Children in Need Day and the children (and staff!) look ‘spotacular’ in their spotty themed clothing to raise awareness of this worthwhile charity.   Thank you so much for all of the donations which we will add together and submit as a whole school contribution to Children in Need.

The school council organised a joke competition with prizes in each class for the funniest joke!

Mrs Bailey challenged the children (and teachers) from Y1 to Y6 to work in complete silence for a specified amount of time!   The Y5 and Y6 children had the greatest challenge to stay silent for 30 minutes! Mrs Bailey donated an extra £20 to Children In Need in return for the silence!
